UAE President welcomes Presidential Camel Racing Team

Sharjah 24 – WAM: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the Presidential Camel Racing Team during a reception attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

Review of seasonal triumphs

During the reception, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was briefed on the team’s outstanding performance throughout the 2025–2026 racing season. Accompanied by His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and Chairman of the UAE Camel Racing Federation, team representatives showcased their top finishes at premier camel racing festivals across the UAE and the broader GCC. Key milestones included major wins at Saudi Arabia's King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, Oman's Al Etihad and Al Bashayer Festivals, the Kuwait International Camel Racing Championship, and the grand finale events held at Al Marmoom and Al Shahaniya.

His Highness the President applauded the delegation for their stellar results and commended their dedication to elevating the competitive standards of the Presidential Camel Racing Team. He emphasised that camel racing remains a cornerstone of the nation’s cultural identity, embodying the community's enduring bond with its ancestral roots and traditions, while reinforcing the vital need to protect and pass down this legacy to future generations.
