Sharjah 24 – WAM: The United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Eswatini have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding to mutually waive entry visa requirements for their citizens.

The strategic agreement is designed to strengthen bilateral relations, streamline travel protocols, and foster closer ties between the two nations. The accord was finalised during a signing ceremony by His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State, and Princess Lindiwe, Eswatini’s Minister of Home Affairs.

Agreement set to catalyse tourism, investment, and trade

Both governments emphasised that the visa exemption reflects a shared commitment to expanding cross-border cooperation and deepening people-to-people connections. By removing travel barriers, the new arrangement is expected to significantly accelerate economic growth by unlocking fresh avenues for bilateral business, investment, and trade partnerships.

Additionally, the waiver will facilitate smoother travel for official delegations and state representatives, enhancing seamless diplomatic exchanges. Leisure travel and cultural exchange are also poised to grow, marking a major step forward in aligning the diplomatic and economic objectives of both countries.
