Sharjah 24: Major Mahmoud Ali Al Zarouni, Head of the Fire and Rescue Department in Al Khalidiyah, stated that the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority’s (SCDA) participation in the “Guardians of the Nation” exhibition at the University of Sharjah (UOS) stems from the Authority’s commitment to promoting security and safety concepts and instilling a culture of prevention in society. He explained that this participation represents an important opportunity to embody the spirit of responsibility and national solidarity, noting the Authority’s pride in being part of this event, which reflects the joint efforts in protecting the nation and preserving its achievements.

Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, Al Zarouni explained that SCDA plays a pivotal role in maintaining community safety by providing firefighting and rescue services and responding to emergencies and natural disasters. He emphasised the Authority's commitment to protecting lives and property and its ongoing efforts to develop its capabilities and equipment using the latest technologies.

Shared responsibility requiring everyone's cooperation

Al Zarouni noted the Authority's focus on community awareness through organising programmes and workshops targeting various segments of society. These initiatives aim to promote a culture of prevention and disseminate safety guidelines, thereby enhancing preparedness and ensuring effective response in emergencies.
