US to impose tariffs on Chinese chips

Sharjah 24 – Reuters: The United States announced that it will impose new tariffs on chips imported from China, effective June 23, 2027.

US Trade Representative Jamison Greer confirmed that the tariffs will apply to chips that are currently exempt from duties, signaling a shift in trade policy toward Chinese technology imports.
