Sharjah forms platform to share publishing industry perspectives

Sharjah 24: The 15th Sharjah International Publishers Conference kicked off on November 2, led by Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority. This year, the conference has brought together 1,258 publishers from 116 different countries. It is taking place at the Expo Centre Sharjah from November 2 to 4.

Gvantsa Jobava, President of the International Publishers Association (IPA), expressed her enthusiasm regarding the commencement of the event. She highlighted the inspiration drawn from Her Highness Sheikha Bodour’s motivating address, which was followed by presentations from distinguished global speakers who shared their perspectives on the publishing industry.

In her remarks to “Sharjah 24,” she articulated her excitement for the opportunity to engage with publishers from around the globe at the conference. She also expressed her gratitude to Sharjah for hosting such a significant event that facilitates dialogue among publishers regarding the future of their industry.
