A keynote speech by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority, and statements by top publishing executives will launch the first session of the conference. Participants will learn about worldwide trends and explore book industry potential provided by digital transformation and current technologies over three days.
The conference's professional sessions allow publishers, distributors, and professionals from around the world to share knowledge, collaborate, and negotiate rights trading and translation partnerships. It also aspires to create cross-border relationships that boost the worldwide reach of literary and cultural content, while enhancing professional skills and safeguarding the viability of the publishing sector.
This year's conference features Gvantsa Jobava, President of the International Publishers Association (IPA); Madeline McIntosh, co-founder and CEO of Authors Equity and former CEO of Penguin Random House US; and Phaedon G. Kidoniatis, Vice-President of the Federation of European Publishers.
The 15th Publishers Conference will address global publishing trends. Publishers, rights agents, and distributors will discuss ways to improve cooperation, enhance translation and knowledge sharing, and prepare for the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair next Wednesday.
