Joining him are Professor Humaid Obaid Al-Shamsi, CEO of Burjeel Cancer Institute and UAE’s first Professor of Oncology, who manages the country’s largest cancer network and founded its first paediatric bone marrow transplant programme. Also on the panel is Dr Vladimir Ivkovic, Director of the Laboratory for Neuroimaging at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, researching brain adaptability in extreme environments for NASA, ESA, and the ISS. The event ends with a Nature Masterclass on Clinical Research Methodology on 30 October, led by Dr Jeffrey Robens from Springer Nature Japan.
