Sultan Al Neyadi attends Uganda’s Independence Day celebrations

Sharjah 24 – WAM: On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Dr Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, attended Uganda’s 63rd Independence Day Anniversary, held in Kampala, the capital city.

Conveying presidential greetings

During the ceremony, Dr. Al Neyadi conveyed greetings from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, extending wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Uganda and its people.

Strengthening bilateral ties

Dr Al Neyadi highlighted the robust and growing relationship between the UAE and Uganda, emphasising enhanced cooperation across various sectors that support shared development goals and mutual interests.

High-level attendance

The event was also attended by Abdullah Hassan Obaid Hassan Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Uganda, along with senior officials, heads of delegations, and representatives from numerous countries.

UAE engagement in youth initiatives

As part of his visit, Dr Al Neyadi, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Arab Youth Centre, participated in the AFRO-Arab Youth Council conference under the theme “Amplifying Youth Voices for Peace, Unity and Prosperity.”

Supporting youth and sustainable development

Dr Al Neyadi stated that the UAE’s involvement in the conference reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening ties with Uganda, empowering young people, and fostering sustainable community development.
