UAE and Serbian Presidents attend national parade in Belgrade

Sharjah 24 – WM: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Serbian President His Excellency Aleksandar Vučić attended a military parade in Belgrade, held in celebration of the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom, and the National Flag. The event took place during Sheikh Mohamed's working visit to Serbia.

Official welcome and parade venue

Upon his arrival at the Palace of Serbia, His Highness was warmly received by President Vučić and several senior Serbian officials. The parade was staged in front of the palace, showcasing the country’s military strength and national pride.

Military displays and ceremonial highlights

The parade featured various divisions of the Serbian Armed Forces, including land, air, and river units. Military vehicles, defence systems, and paratroopers were on display, along with command and protection forces and air defence units. One of the most striking moments of the event was the ceremonial presentation of the Serbian national flag, which extended approximately 300 metres in front of the main grandstand.

Affirmation of strong bilateral relations

During the event, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated President Vučić on this significant national occasion, expressing his best wishes for continued progress, stability, and prosperity for Serbia and its people. He also reiterated the strength of UAE–Serbia relations and the shared dedication to deepening bilateral cooperation in ways that serve the interests of both nations.

Presence of senior UAE officials

The military parade was attended by a number of high-ranking UAE officials accompanying His Highness on the visit. Among them were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with several ministers and senior officials.

Conclusion of the working visit

Following the parade and official engagements, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan departed Belgrade, marking the conclusion of his working visit to Serbia.
