A vision to drive economic and tourism growth
The newly unveiled identity, designed under the direct guidance of the Crown Prince, aims to highlight Umm Al Qaiwain’s unique natural, historical, and cultural attributes. It seeks to boost the emirate’s global presence and create new opportunities for tourism and economic prosperity.
Statement from the Ruler of Umm Al Quwain
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla emphasised the importance of the tourism sector as a cornerstone of the UAE’s national economy, contributing to sustainable economic and social development. He said: “Our promotional identity is inspired by our deep-rooted history and culture. It forms a link between our heritage, our current achievements, and our future ambitions.”
More than a logo – A strategic milestone
His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla described the new identity as more than a logo, calling it: “An embodiment of Umm Al Quwain’s essence and heritage. It is a significant milestone in our journey toward a more prosperous and sustainable future.”
He explained that the new identity aims to attract quality investments and projects by presenting Umm Al Quwain as an ideal destination for modern living, tourism, and business.
Enhancing the visitor experience
Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities, said the new identity reflects an innovative approach to enriching the visitor experience: “We aim to offer memorable moments to visitors from inside and outside the UAE. The new identity helps cement Umm Al Quwain’s reputation as a premier location for relaxation, leisure, and tourism.”
He added that programmes and initiatives will be developed under this unified identity to invigorate the tourism landscape and promote the emirate across platforms.
Symbolism in design
The promotional identity incorporates visual elements that represent Umm Al Qaiwain’s diverse environment and rich culture: Waves of the sea, desert sands, palm trees, a drop of water, pearl shape – symbolising authenticity and maritime heritage, and arabic calligraphy – reflecting the depth of Emirati culture.
These elements converge to create a modern and meaningful image of the emirate, fusing heritage with innovation.
