Sharjah 24: Four teams have preserved their unbeaten status following the second round of the ADNOC Pro League: Al Nasr, Al Wahda, Shabab Al Ahli, and Al Ain. Except for Al Ain, the other three teams have kept clean sheets.

Strong defensive start for top teams

The second round concluded with Al Nasr, Al Wahda, and Shabab Al Ahli standing out with solid defensive performances—no goals conceded and no losses. Al Ain, although still unbeaten, has conceded three goals in two matches.

Al Ain and Al Nasr share the top spot

Al Ain and Al Nasr continued their perfect runs, with Al Ain defeating Dibba 3-2 and Al Nasr edging Ajman 1-0. Both teams now sit at the top of the table with six points each.

First wins for Al Jazira, Al Dhafra, and Al Bataeh

Three teams secured their first wins of the season in this round: Al Jazira beat Sharjah 1-0, Al Dhafra overcame Al Wasl 3-1, Al Bataeh defeated Khorfakkan 2-1 — their first-ever second-round victory since joining the Pro League.

15 goals scored in round two

Across all matches, a total of 15 goals were scored, averaging 2.14 goals per match. The Dibba vs. Al Ain clash was the most prolific with five goals, while Al Jazira vs. Sharjah and Al Nasr vs. Ajman had the fewest with just one goal each.

Home advantage plays a role

The home teams triumphed in three matches: Al Dhafra over Al Wasl; Al Bataeh over Khorfakkan; and Al Nasr over Ajman.

The only draw came in the Al Wahda vs. Shabab Al Ahli match, marking the eighth tie between the two teams at Al Nahyan Stadium in the professional era.

Top scorers update

Laba Kodjo (Al Ain) leads the scoring charts with 3 goals, having found the net again versus Dibba.

Elton Philippe (Khorfakkan), Nabil Fekir (Al Jazira), and Omar Khribin (Al Wahda) follow with 2 goals each.

Disciplinary stats

Referees handed out 25 yellow cards and 4 red cards during the second round.

Jankovic pleased with Al Nasr’s progress

Al Nasr coach Slavisa Jankovic expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, stating: “All teams are competing for the title, and everyone still has a long way to go. The players did what was required against Ajman, and we were capable of scoring more goals. We must continue to develop and work step by step to achieve our goals.
