UAE President receives US Congress delegation

Sharjah 24 – WAM: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a United States Congress delegation today at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. The delegation included Senator Joni Ernst and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Strengthening UAE-US strategic partnership

The meeting focused on the robust ties of friendship and strategic cooperation between the UAE and the US. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing this partnership to serve mutual interests and fulfill the aspirations of their peoples.

Regional security and global peace

Discussions also covered key issues concerning regional security and stability, along with collaborative efforts to foster peace in the Middle East and globally.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region; His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology;Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the US; and a number of other senior officials.
