Sharjah 24 – Reuters: Arsenal had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Brentford on Saturday after Yoane Wissa's fine finish, a result that leaves Liverpool within three wins of clinching the Premier League title.

A slow start after European high

The Gunners showed signs of fatigue following their midweek 3-0 Champions League quarter-final victory over Real Madrid, struggling to break down a well-organised Brentford side in the first half.

Partey scores, Wissa responds

Thomas Partey gave Arsenal the lead just after the hour mark, finishing off a move set up by Declan Rice. However, Brentford equalized in the 74th minute when Wissa produced a smart hooked finish.

Liverpool edge closer to title

Arsenal, now second in the table, failed to find a late winner. The draw puts league leaders Liverpool 10 points clear, with a game in hand. Meanwhile, Brentford moved up to 11th place in the standings.
