The prayers were led by Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Buaijan, the mosque's imam and preacher, who congratulated the congregation on the occasion of Eid. He emphasized the significance of the two annual Islamic holidays, Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha, highlighting their connection to key pillars of Islam—fasting during Ramadan and performing the Hajj pilgrimage, respectively.
Dr Al-Buaijan further explained that Eid is a time for Muslims to rejoice in God's blessings and mercy, following a month of fasting and worship. He reminded worshippers that joy during Eid is a religious ritual and encouraged them to spread happiness, unity, and love among families, friends, and communities.
He also urged them to praise God for the completion of Ramadan, pay Zakat Al Fitr, and maintain strong faith in Allah.
