The initiative aims to revive the Sunnah of the ten mass-transmitted (mutawatir) canonical recitations of the Qur'an and teach Quranic sciences using a strong scientific methodology. It seeks to instill Islamic values and provide the next generation with an understanding of recitation, performance, and transmission.
Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi emphasised that the project aligns with the UAE’s long-standing commitment to the Holy Quran, which serves as a pillar of the nation’s identity and inspiration. The UAE has continuously supported scholars and honored Quran memorisation efforts to deepen the importance of the Quran in people's lives.
Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi praised the initiative for strengthening Islamic identity and supporting the teachings of Islam. The project is set to teach future generations the proper recitation of the Quran and contribute to consolidating the nation’s religious values.
Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, recognised the significance of the initiative in perpetuating the legacy of Quranic education, stating that it reflects the UAE's commitment to disseminating Quranic knowledge both locally and internationally.
The centre will connect generations to the unbroken chain of transmission of the Prophet’s teachings, train certified reciters, and affirm the cultural role of the Quran in modern society.
