The foundation will focus on advancing sustainable efforts in global health and inclusive development by investing in innovative solutions that empower individuals and communities, driving prosperity and progress.
His Highness received a delegation from the foundation at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where he was briefed on the foundation’s mission. His commitment to supporting charitable and humanitarian initiatives that improve quality of life and contribute to building a better world for all was emphasized.
The Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity was established by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to coincide with Zayed Humanitarian Day, which commemorates the humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The foundation operates independently with legal, financial, and administrative status, enabling it to fulfill its objectives effectively.
The foundation’s key focus areas include implementing humanitarian and development initiatives and promoting a culture of philanthropy at both local and international levels. It will work alongside national institutions to advance sustainable development goals, particularly in global health.
Over the next five years, the foundation aims to reach over 500 million people across more than 50 countries, focusing on empowering communities, ensuring access to healthcare, and promoting economic growth. It will build on initiatives like "Reaching the Last Mile," which tackles global health challenges like polio, malaria, and neglected tropical diseases.
The new foundation will operate under Erth Zayed Philanthropies, which supervises the strategic direction of philanthropic efforts linked to the UAE’s leadership, aiming to create a meaningful global impact.
