Fulham took the lead twice in the match, with Andreas Pereira scoring the first goal in the 11th minute.
Liverpool then played with ten men after left-back Andrew Robertson received a straight red card in the 17th minute.
Liverpool equalized with a goal from Dutch striker Cody Gakpo in the 47th minute, but Fulham regained the lead with a second goal from Rodrigo Muniz in the 76th minute.
The hosts managed to escape with a point thanks to a goal from Diogo Jota in the 86th minute.
This marked Liverpool's second consecutive draw after their previous match ended 3-3 against Newcastle United, costing them four valuable points and giving their rivals a chance to close the gap.
However, Liverpool remains at the top of the table with 36 points, while Fulham stays in ninth place with 24 points.
