The ceremony commenced with the playing of the national anthems of the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt. A number of officials from Al Arish and its residents attended the event.
The UAE Floating Hospital also organised a celebration on the occasion, attended by Emirati and Indonesian medical staff, as well as Palestinian patients receiving treatment at the hospital.
The celebrations featured a video highlighting the UAE's achievements, as well as recreational and cultural activities.
