Sharjah 24 – WAM: Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, today opened the 40th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), which runs until 7th November, at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
The event was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King of Bahrain for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, delivered the keynote speech. A discussion session was also held with the participation of a number of energy ministers from around the world.

Hosted by ADNOC Group, ADIPEC is the world's largest energy event, attracting more than 200,000 visitors, including leading innovators and experts from around the world. The theme for this year's edition is ‘Connecting Minds. Transforming Energy.'

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised the UAE's commitment to supporting technological innovation as a key driver in various sectors, particularly energy. “This involves establishing strategic partnerships and enhancing cooperation with leading global entities to integrate artificial intelligence solutions into the energy sector and advance the global transition to clean energy.”

The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan, Minister of State, Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President's Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and several officials.
