Sharjah 24: The Sociological Association received a delegation from Umm Al Quwain University at its headquarters in Sharjah, which included a number of college students and professors from the College of Sociology.
They were received by Dr. Mohammed Hamdan bin Jarash, Board Member and Head of the Cultural Committee. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation between the university and the association, and exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of social service.
Dr. Mohammed bin Jarash gave a speech at the beginning of the meeting, where he provided a detailed explanation of the objectives, vision and various programmes of the association. During the meeting, ways of cooperation between the two sides were discussed, and a group of social and cultural research projects were presented that can be implemented in the near future.
These projects come within the framework of enhancing the skills of students and researchers, which contributes to refining their capabilities and enhancing their scientific and professional experiences. The students expressed their appreciation for this visit, stressing that it gave them a unique opportunity to interact with the association’s activities and participate in its future programmes, and opened up new horizons for them to think and research.
For their part, the university professors expressed their happiness with this visit, pointing out the positive impact it will have in enhancing students’ skills and empowering them, which will contribute to refining their capabilities and enhancing their cognitive and professional experiences.
