Sharjah24: French striker Marcus Thuram led Inter Milan to victory over Torino with a score of 3-2 in the seventh round of Serie A.

This win brought Inter Milan's points tally to 14, placing them second in the standings, just two points behind leaders Napoli, while Torino remained at 11 points in sixth place.

Thuram opened the scoring in the 25th minute, and ten minutes later, he netted a second goal. However, Duván Zapata reduced the deficit for Torino in the 36th minute.

Thuram struck again, scoring his third goal in the 60th minute, while Nikola Vlasic converted a penalty for Torino in the 86th minute.

Torino had been playing with ten men since the 20th minute after defender Guillermo Maripán received a red card.

Inter Milan attacked from the start, relying on the duo of Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martínez to lead their offense.

Coach Simone Inzaghi utilized a midfield trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Davide Frattesi, and Hakan Çalhanoğlu, with Nicolò Barella sidelined due to injury.

On the other side, the duo of Che Adams and Duván Zapata led Torino's attack, attempting to threaten Inter's defense early on.

Torino's Samuel Lino struck a powerful shot from outside the box in the 15th minute, which was saved by Inter's goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

Five minutes later, Guillermo Maripán was sent off after a harsh tackle on Marcus Thuram, following a video review.

Inter took advantage of their numerical superiority, with Marcus Thuram scoring the opening goal in the 25th minute from a cross by defender Alessandro Bastoni, heading the ball off the right post and into the net.

Thuram doubled the lead in the 35th minute with another header from a cross by his teammate Acerbi from the left side.

However, Inter didn't enjoy their two-goal lead for long, as Duván Zapata pulled one back for Torino in the 36th minute, receiving a through ball from teammate Gvidas Jeninets and firing it past Sommer.

The remaining minutes of the first half saw no further changes, ending with Inter Milan leading 2-0.

At the start of the second half, Inter exerted significant offensive pressure on Torino, exploiting their numerical advantage, but the visitors did not give up and tried to threaten Sommer's goal on several occasions.

Inter's continuous pressure led to a third goal in the 60th minute by Marcus Thuram. Bastoni delivered a cross from the left, which Lautaro Martínez directed toward the goal, but Torino's goalkeeper saved it, allowing Thuram to convert the rebound into the net.

Matteo Darmian fired a ground shot from outside the box in the 65th minute, which narrowly missed the left post.

Duván Zapata, who had scored Torino's first goal, was their main threat but was closely marked by Inter's defense and failed to make an impact in the second half.

Inter nearly added a fourth goal in the 75th minute, but Bastoni's shot went over the bar.

Torino's hopes were further dashed when their key striker Duván Zapata suffered an injury and was replaced by Nikola Vlasic.

The referee awarded a penalty to Torino in the 86th minute after defender Adam Masina was fouled in the box, which Nikola Vlasic successfully converted.

In the closing minutes of the match, Torino made numerous attempts to equalize, but Inter Milan managed to maintain their lead until the referee blew the final whistle, securing a 3-2 victory.
