Sharjah24 - WAM:His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, welcomed this year’s cohort of 67 outstanding students and graduates from the Scholarship Office, managed by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research on behalf of the Ras Al Khaimah Government.
During the reception at Al Diyafa Majlis in Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Saud asserted that education is the cornerstone of the UAE’s progress, preparing the leaders of the future to continue the nation’s journey towards enduring growth and prosperity, and further enhancing its global standing amongst the world’s most developed nations.
The group included 29 graduates with bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from local, national and international universities.
Sheikh Saud stated, In the UAE, we believe in the potential of our educated and skilled youth in building the nation, and we trust their ability to advance our sustainable development journey. Young graduates are the driving force behind the UAE’s progress and play a vital role in shaping our promising future.”
In line with this objective, Ras Al Khaimah Government’s Scholarship Office, managed by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, supports the academic and career growth of talented Emirati and non-Emirati students and professionals. It also provides funding and guidance to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at select national and top-tier international universities, particularly in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia.
H.H. Sheikh Saud further highlighted Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to continually enhancing its higher education system and improving its outcomes, in line with the Emirate’s long-term sustainable developmental strategy, which seeks to drive robust economic growth and bolster Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a leading global destination for living, working and investing.
Sheikh Saud congratulated the scholarship students and graduates, offering his best wishes for their success. He encouraged them to work hard to realize their academic and professional goals, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to the UAE’s vision for sustainable development and prosperity.
