UAE Pro League honours winners of 2023-2024 season awards

Sharjah 24: The UAE Pro League hosted its 2023-2024 season awards ceremony Saturday at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by Abdullah Nasser Al Junaibi, Chairman of the Pro League, along with Board members, sponsors, club representatives, athletes, and media personnel.
Al Wasl took home the majority of the accolades, with Ali Saleh winning the Golden Ball for Best Emirati Player, and his teammate Nicolas Jimenez earning the Golden Ball for Best Foreign Player. Al Ain's Soufiane Rahimi was awarded the "Best Player by the Public's Choice" title. Al Wasl coach Milos Milojevic received the Captain's Award for Best Coach, and goalkeeper Khalid Al Senani won the Golden Glove for Best Goalkeeper. The "Best Goal" award went to Al Wahda's Ismail Matar.

In the emerging talent category, Kalba's Sultan Adel secured the Golden Boy award for Best Promising Emirati Player, while Sekou Baba of Al Bataeh won the Golden Boy award for Best Promising Resident or Native Player.

For performance-based awards, Al Wahda's Omar Kharbin clinched the Golden Boot as the ADNOC Professional League's top scorer with 19 goals. The Golden Boot for the top scorer in the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup was shared by Fabio Lima (Al Wasl), Facundo Daniel (Al Wahda), and Daniel Bessa (Kalba). Mansour Al-Munehali of Al Wahda won the Silver Boot for the top scorer in the Under-21 League.

In other categories, Al Ain Club received the "Fans League Award," while Al Wasl won the Excellence Award in Professionalism and Licensing. Ahmed Hamid Al-Haroush claimed the Technical Director Award for the Fantasy ADNOC Professional League with 1,926 points.

The "Dream Team" of the season was also announced, featuring stars like Soufiane Bouftini (Al Wasl), Khalifa Al Hammadi (Al Jazira), and Omar Kharbin (Al Wahda).

During the ceremony, Abdullah Nasser Al Junaibi expressed gratitude to the Pro League partners, media channels, and professional clubs for their contributions to the season's success. He highlighted the critical role of the UAE's leadership in overcoming challenges and achieving the league's strategic goals.
