Sharjah 24 – WAM: Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Côte d’Ivoire Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé have inaugurated a new UAE-backed cashew processing factory in Boundiali, Côte d’Ivoire.
The state-of-the-art facility, owned by Pan African Agro Commodities Holding Limited (PAACH), aims to boost West Africa’s agriculture sector and its key exports.

Côte d’Ivoire, a top global cashew exporter, relies heavily on cashews for its economy, contributing 9% to GDP. The factory, with a daily capacity of 100 metric tonnes, is expected to create 500 direct and 3,500 indirect jobs, enhancing the country's role in global supply chains.

Al Zeyoudi emphasised the UAE's commitment to West Africa and the economic potential of Côte d’Ivoire, highlighting the factory as a model for future investments. Abdul Jabbar Al Sayegh, PAACH Chairman, noted the factory's significance for bilateral relations and local economic growth.

During his visit, Al Zeyoudi also discussed economic cooperation with Prime Minister Mambé and other officials, focusing on sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and logistics. Bilateral trade between the UAE and Côte d’Ivoire reached US$468 million in 2023, marking a 95% increase since 2020, with both nations committed to further enhancing ties.
