Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasised the vital role of the tourism and hospitality industry as a gateway to cultural and human communication between nations.
He highlighted how this industry serves as a medium through which countries can express their culture, heritage, and the authenticity of their people to the world, describing it as a crucial driver for supporting the national economy and promoting sustainable development.

His remarks came during a reception today at the Nad Al Habi Majlis in Saqr Bin Mohammed City, where he welcomed graduates of the “Emirati Hospitality Programme.”

This programme, supported by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and initiated by “Career Lab” in academic partnership with the Swiss University of Les Roches, aims to equip Emirati youth with the skills needed to lead the future of the tourism and hospitality industry, elevate its global standing, and boost Emiratisation in this vital sector.

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr congratulated the graduates on their dedication and hard work in acquiring the essential skills and knowledge to enhance their country's reputation as a premier global destination.

He wished them success in their professional careers, encouraging them to become pioneers and leaders in advancing the tourism and hospitality sector in the UAE.

The graduates of the Emirati Hospitality Programme expressed their joy at meeting the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and appreciated his commitment to enhancing the role of Emiratis in contributing to the nation's successes and achievements.

Launched last January, the “Emirati Hospitality Programme” lasted six months, culminating in 18 graduates receiving certificates from the Swiss University of Les Roches.

The event was attended by officials from the tourism authority, representatives from the involved company, hotel industry leaders, and the students' families.
