Sharjah24 – WAM: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance provided approximately 1,485,000 religious services during this year's Hajj season.
These services benefited over 2 million pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors throughout the Hajj period.
Pilgrims received direction and guidance in various locations, including Makkah, Madinah, and the central area surrounding the Holy Sites. These services were offered in a variety of international languages to ensure inclusivity.
A team of over 600 male and female preachers and translators participated, utilising modern technology to educate and guide pilgrims. Their tasks included answering pilgrims' inquiries, promoting Islamic values of moderation, and warning against extremism.
Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Alsheikh expressed his gratitude to the preachers for their valuable contributions. These contributions included answering inquiries at the Masjid Al-Taneem, Masjid al-Ji'rranah, and pilgrim camps in Mina.
Additionally, they delivered preaching speeches following prayers at domestic pilgrim camps during the days of Tashreeq and provided daily lectures and lessons in mosques throughout the Hajj period.
The Ministry also facilitated a toll-free automated response line for pilgrims' inquiries, benefiting over 1,325,000 pilgrims. A select group of preachers, fluent in the Quran and Sunnah, were chosen to answer these inquiries. These preachers had access to translators in various languages to ensure clear communication with all pilgrims.
