Sharjah 24 – Reuters: Superb Arsenal eased past Brighton to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League. Goals from Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard secured a commanding 3-0 victory at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
Arsenal's 10th win in their last 11 league games propelled them to 71 points from 31 matches, putting them ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City, who both have 70 points. The Gunners' superior goal difference also gives them an edge over their title rivals.

Saka opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute after Tariq Lamptey brought down Gabriel Jesus in the box. Havertz doubled Arsenal's lead with a close-range finish in the 62nd minute, while Trossard sealed the win late in the game.

Brighton, who hadn't lost at home in the league since August, couldn't withstand Arsenal's relentless attack. The Gunners' defensive resilience, coupled with their attacking prowess, has been evident in their recent away form, having not conceded in their last five away games and scoring 20 goals in the process.

Manager Mikel Arteta's side, showing character and confidence, seem determined to end their title drought, with their last league title dating back to 2004. Despite some tough fixtures ahead, Arsenal's fans are hopeful of clinching the championship this season.

Reflecting on their performance, Saka highlighted Arsenal's improved mentality and readiness for each game, indicating their determination to succeed where they fell short last season.

With their sights set on the title, Arsenal's impressive form and unwavering spirit make them a formidable force in the Premier League race.
