Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) recently held a highly successful workshop for youth football coaches from Sharjah clubs at Al Bataeh Club. This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to enhance the skills and knowledge of technical and administrative staff, ultimately leading to the improvement of teams and players.
42 coaches from 9 different clubs, including Sharjah, Al Bataeh, Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Al Madam, Al Hamriyah, Ittihad Kalba, Khorfakkan, and Dibba Al Hisn, participated in the workshop. Ibrahim Saif bin Ghafan, Head of the Professional Department at the Sports and Development Affairs Administration, along with Jasim Al-Dhukhi and Tareq Bou Sennah from the administration, were present at the event.
The workshop showcased a diverse group of trainers. The trainers delved into three key areas of focus: fostering a nurturing sports environment to nurture the growth of young athletes, exploring the fundamental principles of training during early childhood and adolescence, and delving into the valuable insights gained from the Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax's experience in developing young players.
Mohammed Obaid Al Hassan, the Director of Sports Affairs and Development Department, highlighted the significance of the workshop in boosting trainers' capabilities and enhancing their technical skills for youth players. He emphasised the workshop's wide-ranging benefits and highlighted the participants' active engagement with the lecturers on important educational and technical topics. This validates the accomplishment of the desired objective, particularly in terms of enhancing the players' individual and collective abilities. He also extended his thanks to Al Bataeh Club for graciously hosting the workshop, as well as expressing his appreciation to the lecturers, participants, and the dedicated organising team.
