Sharjah24: The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) has unveiled an exceptional lineup of series and dramas scheduled for broadcast on its channels throughout the month of Ramadan. These works feature leading roles played by a distinguished cast of Arab acting stars. Additionally, their digital platform, "Maraya," will stream two series, one from Morocco and the other from Algeria, marking a significant move to attract viewers and followers from the Arab Maghreb.
On Sharjah Channel:

Sharjah Television has curated a selection of series and dramatic works for its extensive audience during Ramadan. Among them is the epic Gulf series "Al-Faraj Baad Al-Shidda," depicting the lives of Kuwaiti merchants during the severe famine of 1868-1871, spanning from northern Euphrates to the Arabian Peninsula and the coasts of Persia, known as the Year of Hilaq. Directed by Mahmoud Al-Tawala, the series features over 20 stars from Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, including Abdul Imam Abdullah, Maram Al-Balushi, and Abdullah Al-Talhi.

Syrian drama will be showcased on Sharjah Television through the series "Bayt Ahli," written by Dr. Fouad Shurbaji, directed by Tamer Issac, and starring Ayman Zidan, Saloum Haddad, Safaa Sultan, and a constellation of stars. The series revolves around the community illuminated by the love story of Irfan and Salwa.

Throughout Ramadan, Sharjah Television will also air the Egyptian series "Al-Moalem," written by Mohamed El-Shawaf, directed by Marqos Adel, and starring Moustafa Shaban, Hager Ahmed, Sahar Al-Sayegh, Inasr, and a group of Egyptian drama stars. The story unfolds in a popular setting, with Moustafa Shaban portraying a fishmonger involved in conflicts with major traders, seeking to expose a conspiracy that led to his father's business collapse, imprisonment, and the theft of his money. As suspicion grows, the circle of revenge expands as he battles the monsters to avoid becoming one of them.

Sharqiya Kalba TV:
Viewers in Kalba will enjoy a mix of Gulf, Egyptian, and Syrian series, including the Gulf series "Min kuthr Hubi Lak," written by Noura Al-Badri, directed by Hussein Al-Halabi, and starring Ibrahim Harb, Noor Al-Sheikh, Khaled Al-Shaer, and others. The series explores long-term marriages facing hidden issues and behaviours that come to light, resulting in negative consequences on a social and emotional level.

The Egyptian series "Qala' Al-Hajar" narrates a story of tragic love, revolving around a girl hoping to marry her true love, only to witness his death at the hands of her brother. Her brother isolates her from her blind father, leading her to escape, pursued by her brother who intends to marry her off to his cousin. Her blind father attempts to rescue her from her brother's tyranny, resulting in a stray bullet that sacrifices her life for him. The series is written by Ahmed Wafdi, directed by Hosni Saleh, and features Mohamed Riad, Sawsan Badr, and a constellation of Egyptian drama stars.

The Syrian series "Aghmidh Aynayk" sheds light on various human stories, focusing on a child with autism and his mother's efforts to provide him with a normal life. Directed by Moumen Al-Malla, the series stars Mona Wasef, Abdul Mannaem Omaeiri, and a cast of talented actors.


Al Wusta Channel- Al Thaid

Al Dhaid's Channel remains dedicated to showcasing dramas portraying Bedouin life. For this year's Ramadan, the channel has selected "Harair Al-Badia," a series penned by Nora Al-Daajeh and directed by Saeed Basheer Al-Hawari. This Jordanian drama features women from the desert, known for their strength, authenticity, and the freedom to think, express, choose, and exercise willpower despite their gentleness and femininity.

In addition, the Gulf series "Houd Al-Layl" is a heritage drama addressing societal issues such as family breakdown and society's perception of women. Written by Mashal Al-Raqi and directed by Hussein Abl, it stars Abdul Rahman Al-Aql and Zahra Arfah.

The historical series "Asma Khaleda" delves into the lives of iconic figures of Arab civilisation. Authored and directed by Brehane Saada, each episode focuses on a different historical character.

On the Maraya platform, which offers a diverse range of Gulf, Syrian, Moroccan, Algerian, and animated series for free during Ramadan, viewers can enjoy exclusive content. Maraya rebroadcasts several series from other affiliated channels, including "Al-Faraj Baad Al-Shidda," "Qala' Al-Hajar," "Aghmidh Aynayk," "Houd Al-Layl," and "Asma Khaleda."

One exclusive series, "Ramady," written by Ali Al-Douhan and directed by Ahmed Shafik, tells the story of three sisters and their mother navigating the challenges of everyday life, intertwining with elements of organised crime, romance, and comedy. Another standout series is "Ezak Ya Sham," set in a Syrian neighbourhood during the 1940s. Written by Nadine Khalil and Mohamed Hmeira, it stars Saad Mina and Fayez Qazq.

"Sahlia Bint Adeem," written by Bander Al-Saeed and directed by Fahad Al-Shatti, draws inspiration from Gulf folklore, specifically the legend of "Sahlia Umm Al-Khalaqin" or "Sahila Bint Adeem" in some regions.

Maraya has secured the broadcasting rights for the Moroccan series "2 Wajh," a social drama featuring suspenseful narratives. The series explores the dual life of Basatof, alias Mehdi Al-Hamzawi, who, despite his prosperity, faces constant conflicts with his wife, Shama.

Additionally, the Algerian series "Al-Rihan" narrates the story of a man seeking revenge after being wrongly imprisoned. The animated series "Dakhil Al-Sindooq" highlights the clever character Hassan, summarising numerous stories from Arab heritage.
