Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) wrapped up its participation in the 21st edition of Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD), hosted by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage from February 22 - March 3. The participation was considered a success due to the productive collaboration between the council and 16 specialised sports clubs from the emirate, all housed under one pavilion.
Attendees at the pavilion had a great time exploring different exhibits, participating in daily competitions, and enjoying a variety of sports, cultural, and entertainment activities. The council's participation was included in the event's lineup, which showcased 27 government entities spread across 6 cities in the emirate.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, shared his satisfaction with the successful participation and applauded the productive collaboration with the clubs. He stated that this participation truly reflects the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
Their directives emphasise supporting all community activities held in the country in general and the emirate in particular.
Al Hazami highlighted that the event provided a platform to share positive messages with the community regarding the significance of sports. He stressed that the event offered an opportunity for the public to get insights into the council, its activities, and its clubs, and expressed gratitude to all contributors for the achieved success. The clubs that took part in the pavilion activities were diverse.
