Sharjah 24: Sharjah Art Foundation’s Visitor Services Team Leader, Omar Al Obaidli, has announced the launch of two exhibits, "Henok Melkamzer: Telsem Symbols and Imagery" and "Lala Rukh: In the Round," which will be on display until June 16th.
According to Al Obaidli, the Sharjah Art Museum's first exhibition, "Henok Melkamzer: Telsem Symbols and Imagery," is the artist's most extensive body of work to date. The show features more than a hundred paintings that explore a variety of forms, hues, and figures, providing visitors with an exceptional opportunity to see contemporary perspectives on traditional Ethiopian talismanic art.
Talking about the second exhibition, "Lala Rukh: In the Round," at Al Mureijah Art Space, Al Obaidli said that it showcases a selected group of artworks that use lines and symbols to create a one-of-a-kind visual experience for viewers, showing a curated collection of artworks depicting landscapes, lunar movement, and water bodies, using lines and codes to offer visitors a unique visual experience.
According to Al Obaidli, the goal of these exhibits is to expose Sharjah residents to a variety of creative perspectives and ideas while expanding their understanding of modern art. Visitors have until June 16, 2024, to take advantage of this once in a lifetime chance to see groundbreaking, interactive artworks.
