Sharjah24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the 53rd edition of the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show will launch tomorrow (Wednesday), thrilling patrons with a glittering display of timepieces, diamonds, gold, precious stones, pearls, emeralds, and rare, priceless jewellery exhibited by over 500 premium companies and brands from the UAE and around the world. The event, organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is slated to open its doors from January 31 through February 4.
Eagerly anticipated by watch and jewellery enthusiasts as one of the region’s finest specialty exhibitions, the show promises to dazzle visitors with an array of exclusive, singular gold and jewellery pieces, alongside one of the world’s largest uncut emeralds — a rare, natural precious stone weighing four kilogrammes. Visitors will have the chance to marvel at the emerald and learn about its full specifications as they view the certification by a Swiss laboratory specialising in rare and noteworthy gems.

Covering an exhibit space of 30,000 square metres, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show will feature a series of activities and surprises for patrons, including an international jewellery design contest, whose winner will receive 50 pieces of gold. Eventgoers will also have access to an entire section dedicated to showcasing an enormous array of emeralds that accumulated naturally in vast quantities in the rock from which they were extracted.

In a brand-new development, this edition of the event will showcase exclusive 2024 designs awaited by the clientele of leading jewellery brands, alongside fresh displays by companies designing some of the world’s most famous timepieces and jewellery, coming all the way from the UK, the USA, Russia, the UAE, Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Lebanon, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, and Yemen.

The exhibition will welcome in visitors Wednesday through Sunday from 1 pm until 10 pm, except on Friday when it will be open from 3 pm until 10 pm. In addition to the display pavilions resplendent with watches and jewellery, the show offers a range of programmes, events, and activities all focused on the world of gold and jewellery craftsmanship and design.
