Sharjah 24 – WAM: Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, met with Gilmar Pisas, Prime Minister of the island of Curaçao, part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The meeting which took place on the sides of the Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention on Climate Change COP28, held in Expo City Dubai, explored avenues to strengthen collaboration between the UAE and Curaçao, aligning with the shared interests of the two nations.
Throughout the meeting, various topics of mutual interest were addressed, with a focus on the realms of security and policing. The discourse emphasised the significance of bolstering cooperation to advance global initiatives aimed at emissions reduction, achieving climate neutrality, and collectively working towards a more promising future for humanity.
The meeting also addressed a series of discussions of mutual interest in many areas, including security and policing, in addition to exploring ways of strengthening cooperation between the UAE and the island of Curaçao, in the fields of climate change, environment and sustainability.
