Mansour bin Zayed receives MBRSC deleg., 'Zayed Ambition 2’ team

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, Thursday received the team behind the "Zayed Ambition 2" mission at Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), along with UAE astronauts Sultan Al Neyadi, and Hazzaa Al Mansoori, accompanied by Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, the Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chairwoman of the UAE Space Agency.
During the meeting, which took place at the Presidential Court, Sheikh Mansour engaged in cordial discussions with the delegation, expressing his profound admiration for the unwavering dedication of the MBRSC team in realising "Zayed Ambition 2". This historic mission stands as the longest space mission undertaken by an Arab astronaut, proudly etching the United Arab Emirates' name into the annals of space exploration.

Sheikh Mansour commended the team's unwavering commitment to the nation's progress, urging them to continue their exceptional contributions in alignment with the country's aspirations and the leadership's vision for the future. He lauded their exemplary teamwork, which has been instrumental in achieving remarkable milestones in this crucial domain.

Sheikh Mansour was briefed by the delegation on the UAE's upcoming space endeavors, the centre's strategic roadmap for the next phase, and the UAE Astronaut Programme, which aims to prepare Emirati astronauts for manned missions to the International Space Station (ISS) and other destinations in space.

The delegation included Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, Deputy Chairman, and Salem Humaid Al Marri Director General of the Centre.
