Sharjah 24: The National Media Office (NMO) in Abu Dhabi organised a media briefing on the latest developments regarding the Conference of the Parties (COP28), and the details of the event’s agenda.
Ahmed Abdullah Al Hosani, Executive Director of the National Media Office, stated that the briefing, at the Armed Forces Officers Club, aims to introduce the media to the latest developments related to the Conference of the Parties (COP28), and to highlight the proactive activities that will precede the conference, which aim to augment the efforts addressing climate change.

Speaking to “Sharjah 24”, Al Hosani confirmed that the “Pre Cop” event will be attended by more than 77 ministers specialised in climate action and envoys from different parts of the world, stating that the event will focus on addressing and presenting important issues before the main conference.

Al Hosani added that the facilities and means that will be provided to the media during the COP 28 activities had been reviewed, be they in the Blue Zone or the Green Zone, as this aims to enable journalists and media professionals to comprehensively and accurately cover the conference and report its news and developments effectively and professionally.

Ahmed Abdullah Al Hosani indicated, at the conclusion of the media briefing, that the agenda of the days that will be organised during the event period was reviewed, as the National Media Office will work in cooperation with the media to achieve distinguished and comprehensive coverage to promote the UAE’s achievements in the field of climate action. This will also be an opportunity to shed light on the efforts and innovations that contribute to confronting climate challenges at the global level.
