Sharjah24 - WAM: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has stated that improving higher education outcomes is a fundamental pillar in Ras Al Khaimah’s plans to prepare young people with the qualifications and knowledge to contribute to the sustainable development and achievements of our nation.
His Highness Sheikh Saud’s assertion came as he hosted at his majlis 110 graduates from 2020 to 2023 from the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research’s Scholarships programme. The guests included bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral graduates of UAE and overseas universities.

His Highness Sheikh Saud added that Ras Al Khaimah is moving forward with great conviction and preparing young, qualified Emiratis to help build the country’s promising future. Through an integrated strategic vision, he said, we are empowering people with knowledge to develop and diversify the local and national economy and keep in step with global developments.

His Highness Sheikh Saud explained that the progress of nations depends on the ability of young people to acquire and retain knowledge that will benefit the growth of various sectors and will enhance the UAE’s position in global competitiveness indexes. He added that he is keen to attract and support talent to foster innovation and creativity to forge solutions to tackle the most pressing challenges of humanity.

The Ruler wished the graduates success in leading the nation’s comprehensive development, armed with knowledge, ability and a love of their homeland.

The graduates expressed their thanks and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Saud for his support during their educational journey. They also conveyed gratitude for the majlis, which highlighted the desire of the leadership to motivate the country’s people towards success and excellence. Graduates also spoke of their determination to continue learning and acquiring skills and experiences that help serve the nation and enhance its position.
