Sharjah24 - WAM: Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), today received Jacob Mudenda, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe, and his delegation, at the FNC’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed several issues of mutual interest and ways of promoting parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries through exchanging visits and enhancing their coordination and consultations on various matters.
They also talked about ways of strengthening the overall cooperation between the UAE and Zimbabwe, in line with the commitment of their leaderships and governments to advance various aspects of their relations.
At the start of the meeting, Ghobash welcomed Mudenda and his delegation and highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries and their peoples.
He also invited Mudenda to participate in the parliamentary conference that will be held on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which the UAE will host this year.
Several members of the FNC attended the meeting.
