Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, said that the late Emirati poet Rashid Al Khadhar was one of the UAE’s leading poets who was known for his exceptional poetic talents.
He made this statement while visiting the House of Al Khadhar in Ajman, where officials briefed him about the house’s facilities and renovations.
Sheikh Humaid said that the UAE’s leadership appreciates intellectuals, talents and artists and encourages people to follow their path and seek excellence.
He also highlighted the importance of culture and innovation to people’s lives, the critical role of culture in preserving local and Arab identity and honouring intellectuals and talents, and the need for literature and social innovation, in general.
Al Khadhar’s House, which was renovated and restored to its original state, is a historic landmark that enables visitors to learn about the life of the prominent poet and his contributions to Emirati heritage, he said in conclusion.
