Sharjah 24: Dr. Juma Khalifa Al Alili, Deputy Director of the Office of the Islamic Affairs Department in the Central Region, confirmed that 95 mosques in the Central Region were equipped to hold the Qiyam (night) prayer during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to allocating a number of mosques for i'tikaaf.
Dr. Alili congratulated all Muslims and the Arab and Islamic nations on the advent of the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.
He indicated to “Sharjah 24” that the night prayer is held during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan in 95 mosques in various regions and cities of the Central Region, in addition to allocating a number of mosques for i'tikaaf (an Islamic practice consisting of a period of staying in a mosque for a certain number of days, devoting oneself to ibadah during these days and staying away from worldly affairs).
