Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, revealed through the “Direct Line” programme, broadcast on the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, his latest cultural project, which is a book on the reason for Christianity's hostility to Muslims, exposing the wrong translations of the Holy Quran that caused this hostility.
His Highness stressed that these publications require the study of many references and large numbers of original manuscripts to disprove the false and fabricated claims.

During the call via the “Direct Line” programme, broadcast on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, with Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council, His Highness touched on the impact of lies, discussing the example of when the Portuguese were expelled from Hormuz by the English and Persian forces in 1622 AD, stating that this showcases how one historical incident lead to disasters, with the aim of highlighting the need for correct historical information, after verifying many references and studying many original manuscripts.

His Highness maintained that a large numbers of manuscripts, other than the ones donated to the Islamic Manuscripts House at Al Qasimia University and the Holy Quran Academy and others, have been annotated and others will be in the near future.

His Highness stated that the book, in which His Highness shortened what was enough for three books, reveals the wrong translation of the Holy Quran, carried out intentionally to distort the meaning of the Holy Quran’s verses.

His Highness expressed His Highness’s hope that people will benefit from these publications to raise their awareness, and spread accurate historical information.

His Highness also highlighted the importance of preserving old buildings because of their history and their ability to arouse the individual's affection towards heritage, ancestors and the country. This is evident in the heritage buildings in the cities of Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid.
