Sultan Al Qasimi: Our goal is to plant 10 million trees annually

Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, revealed, in a telephone intervention, via the “Direct Line” programme that broadcasts from Sharjah Radio and Television, with the journalist Mohammed Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, that he chose the name "Saba’ Sanabel: Seven Spikes", for the wheat project in Mleiha, after the noble verse, which concludes with " Allah giveth manifold increase to whom He pleaseth".
His Highness stressed that the marketing of wheat in the Mleiha project needs a slogan and a name, and His Highness chose the name "Saba Sanabel" with the logo in the form of a circle with seven spikes in it .

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah confirmed that the dome of the birds new market is designed for pigeons to be raised inside, and be allowed to fly and return to it; and to take a tour adds to the beauty of the market, and it will include an indoor garden with various trees; and these birds will frequent the place and land on visitors as if they were in their natural habitat.

His Highness revealed that the new bird market is beautiful in its building and rich in its content, and its second floor includes shops for selling birds, adding: “We say to the owners of these shops: Open one box so that birds go and return to it and get used to the place, and sometime these birds will land on the visitors themselves and will shake off their fear of people.”

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi affirmed that the most comforting sight is the presence of trees, and we will continue to plant trees until we reach 10 million per year, God willing, and all of them will come out of the Al Badi’e nursery; His Highness also approved the adoption of the island of "Sirat Khorfakkan" as an archaeological reserve.

During the intervention, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah revealed that he had transformed neglected places, places where dirt and sewage accumulate, and the unpleasant odors emanating from them, into thriving markets and monuments immortalised by time, such as the Central Market, the Palm Oasis, and Wasit wetlands, and others, stressing that he follows the details of all the completed and under-construction projects in the emirate, and reviews their plans dozens of times in his mind, to modify them and add more necessary details so that the project appears in the most beautiful and best way.
