Sharjah24: His Excellency Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), affirmed that the preservation of Arab heritage is at the heart of the cultural project of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, being part of the major cultural and heritage projects adopted by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
On the occasion of the Arab Cultural Heritage Day, marked on February 27, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage took part in the celebration organised by the Department of Culture and Dialogue of Civilisations in the Social Affairs Sector of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, under the slogan "Popular Heritage in the Arab World" at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League in Cairo.
During the event, which witnessed the presence of several organisations concerned with Arab cultural heritage, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of Sharjah Institute for Heritage has highlighted the importance of their participation, reflecting their vision and objectives in preserving the heritage, in line with the wise leadership directives to ensure safeguarding of cultural heritage.
