Sharjah 24 – WAM: The UAE medical delegation, headed by Dr. Salem Alfalasi, made a field tour and inspected the Martyr Major General Hamza Nofal National Hospital, the AlBasel Heart Hospital and the Maternity and Children Hospital in Latakia Governorate, Syria.
During the visit, which is part of operation “Chivalrous Knight / 2”, the delegation was received by Dr. Hawazen Makhlouf, Director of Health in Latakia, and Dr. Siham Makhoul, Director of the Martyr Major General Hamza Nawfal National Hospital, along with a number of officials.
The delegation was briefed on the conditions of the three hospitals, toured their various departments and facilities, identified their needs, and got acquainted with the medical and treatment services provided by the hospitals to patients.
Alfalasi – who is in charge of the special needs of the medical and health sectors in Syria – said that the visit of the Emirati medical team comes within the framework of finding out the needs of the health sector in Syria and determining the mechanism for the assistance required during the current period.
For his part, Dr. Makhlouf praised the continuous support and directives of the UAE leadership in supporting his country in this critical time.
