Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; and Ahmed Zeghdar, Algerian Minister of Industry, have discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic, industrial and commercial sectors.
In a meeting between Sheikh Abdullah and Zeghdar in Abu Dhabi, they reviewed several issues of common concerns, including the UAE's hosting of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 28) this year, and ways to advance cooperation in areas that contribute to sustainable economic growth.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of Minister Zeghdar, highlighting the depth of the UAE-Algeria ties and both parties' interest in boosting cooperation across several sectors.
Zeghdar, in turn, reaffirmed his country's aspiration to develop cooperation with the UAE in various sectors.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
