Wickbold has created seven series and displayed his work in locations such as Sao Paulo, New York, Stockholm, Lisbon, London, and Miami.
More than 15 of his pieces are in significant museums' permanent collections, including Erarta (St. Petersburg, Russia) and MAB (Sao Paulo, Brazil).
He said that he is participating in Xposure for the second time this year, as well as Xposure in Sharjah, with three of his series, the first of which is "Naive," which discusses the relationship between man and environment. The other, "Brazilians," from 2006, illustrates a journey to the Brazilian countryside, and the third, "Online," discusses the link between males and connectivity.
He also stated that his art depicts the battle of our time: how to survive online, how to put oneself out there amid its infinite information, which is why we hide behind some identities that we create, simply to be there and live out there.
