The attending photographers found themselves surrounded by 120 species, including a variety of local as well as rare animals native to Africa, the rarest of which is the black rhinoceros. The environs were perfect for the group of shutterbugs to get their cameras out and capture unforgettable images of the wild thriving in a rich, natural habitat at the Al Bridi Nature Reserve.
More than 1,000 native and African trees, including the umbrella-shaped Acacia tortilis, have been planted across the 800-hectare park, which has been built to further Sharjah’s goals to protect the wildlife and preserve the delicate ecosystem.
The visit to Sharjah Safari aligns with the vision of the Xposure festival in promoting sustainable and responsible creations, and enabled Xposure’s participating photographers to embark on a truly unforgettable journey to capture beauty in its purest form.
With a strong focus on education and development, the Xposure festival is a celebration of all things photography -- offering workshops and seminars to help photographers of all skill levels improve their craft. From the latest technology to new techniques, the festival is a hub for photographers to connect, learn, and grow and will continue until February 15 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
