Sharjah 24: His Excellency Eng. Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, discussed ways of cooperation in marketing the wheat product of Mleiha farm, with His Excellency Majid Al Junaid, CEO of Sharjah Cooperative Society (SCS).

This coincides with the approaching harvest season, which is expected in mid-March 2023.

The two sides reviewed the cooperation related to opening outlets for selling, marketing and distributing the wheat product of Mleiha Farm.

During the meeting, the members of the SCS gave an explanatory presentation on how to distribute the product, the mechanism for displaying the product, and methods of marketing and packaging it in distinctive ways.

His Excellency Engineer Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji praised the efforts of the SCS in the Emirate of Sharjah, stressing the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in achieving the sustainability of the agricultural sector and strengthening the food security system, in cooperation with all relevant authorities in Sharjah.

For his part, His Excellency Majid Al Junaid stressed that the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Sharjah is a strategic partner, and it is necessary to provide a market for the local farm product that enhances food security for Sharjah in particular, and the UAE in general.
