Sharjah 24: Souq Al Jubail, a project of Sharjah Asset Management Company, the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, welcomed upwards of 4,441,226 visitors and successfully achieved significant volumes of vegetable and fruit sales exceeding 2,354 tons during 2022.
The excellent turnout and performance thus far has been credited to the Souq’s exceptional quality and integrated services in line with the needs of the market, catering various products, food and fresh supplies under one roof, as well as a series of events and campaigns organised by the market throughout the year.
Talal Mohamed, Director of Souq Al Jubail, said: "In 2022, Souq Al Jubail witnessed many distinguished developments and achievements in the quality of services provided in various sections of the Souq, and through numerous events and activities organised during the year. Souq Al Jubail has cemented its presence on the map of leading and distinguished family and tourist destinations in the Emirate of Sharjah and the greater region, as the Souq Al Jubail receives a large volume of delegations, estimated at 12,609 tourists and visitors from across the globe."
Talal Mohamed stressed further that Souq Al Jubail's reception of more than 4 million visitors during the past year, an increase of more than 17% compared to 2021, came as an inevitable result of the market's quality services and high-level facilities, which has helped attract more visitors wishing to shop for food and consumer products under one roof. The Souq’s offerings have achieved the highest degree of satisfaction from market visitors and have met shopper needs and requirements, in accordance with the best practices and the highest standards. The shopping experience at Souq Al Jubail has been cited to be a unique, fun, and highly convenient experience by many.
Talal Mohamed added that the increase in the number of visitors to the market reflects positively on sales percentages seen in the three sections of the market, namely the vegetables and fruits section, fish section and meat section. These statistics have also drawn much interest to the Souq by traders and investors in the market, and has simultaneously attracted a wider category of shoppers who enjoy novel and unique shopping experiences.

Souq Al Jubail boasts more than 250 types of product for sale, distributed across 260 shops in all 3 sections of the Souq, which include 160 fresh vegetables and fruits shops and 40 date shops, 60 shops selling a selection of fine meat, and 30 shops for fresh fish and other seafood. The Souq is also home to 3 shops selling high-quality honey and more shops for nuts. For shopper convenience, the market also offers various services and other facilities such as the ‘Etisalat’ platform, ATMs and more.
