The launch ceremony took place in the presence of Dr. Abdulaziz Abdulrahman Al Musallam, President of the SIH, a group of senior officials, and those interested in heritage affairs, at a ceremony held on the sidelines of the Sharjah International Traditional Crafts Forum 13, held at the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP).
Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam affirmed that the institute is implementing a plan to enhance its position at the level of the Arab world institutions, become the world pioneer in the field of heritage, and contribute to preserving heritage features and authentic historical values of the world.
He added that the launch of the institute's new identity falls within Sharjah's qualitative and thoughtful transformation towards the future and the consolidation of its position as an incubator of culture, values, and knowledge locally, regionally, and internationally.
The institute’s elements of the new identity confirm the institute's commitment to institutional values in harnessing capabilities and resources to preserve heritage and identity in a way that serves the community.
