Sharjah24 – WAM: Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, approved the formation of the Higher Committee of the Endurance World Championship (HCEWC), which will be hosted by the Bu Theeb International Endurance Village in February 2023.
The committee includes Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation; Saud Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Under-Secretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism; Dr. Jamal Muhammad Al Kaabi, Under-Secretary of the Department of Health; Abdullah Abdulhamid Al Sahi, Under-Secretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport; Yaqoub Al Saadi, Sports Channels Head at Abu Dhabi Media, and Brigadier Dr. Jassim Ibrahim Al Mansouri, General Coordinator of the Committee.
Major General Al Raisi chaired the first meeting of the committee, in the presence of several sub-committees representatives, who are Ahmed Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation and Championship Director; Abdullah Al Naqbi, Director of Marketing and Events Department, Chairman of the Opening and Closing Committee and Head of the Media Committee of the Championship; Mohamed Hatem Al Junaibi, Director of Events at the Boudheeb International Endurance Village and Chairman of the Events Committee; Mahmoud Zyoud, Head of the Endurance Department at the Federation and Chairman of the Legal Committee; Dr. Ali Al Tweisi, Head of the Veterinary Department and Chairman of the Veterinary Committee; Yasser Obada, Chairman of the Financial Committee; Mustafa Mefoufi, Chairman of the Technical Committee, and Moath Al Aqrabi, Executive Secretary and Rapporteur of the Committee.
The committee members discussed the items on the meeting’s agenda to make appropriate recommendations.
Major General Al Raisi conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Mansour to the committee’s members, noting that Sheikh Mansour has approved the committee’s formation and wished them luck.
At the start of the meeting, Al Raisi welcomed the committee’s members and congratulated them on the country’s future hosting of the Endurance World Championship.
